NASHVILLE – Four people were quickly apprehended by local law enforcement after executing a search warrant last Thursday morning.
According to a press release issued by Nashville Narcotics Investigator Mark Barnes, the Nashville Police Department – in conjunction with the Howard County SWAT Team – executed a search and arrest warrant at 419 N. 4th St. in Nashville on Feb. 4 at the residence of April Lenora Crocker, 35, and David William Churchwell, 39. “Each had outstanding warrants for delivery of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and distribution near certain facilities. Crocker also had outstanding misdemeanor warrants,” Barnes confirmed. “During the execution of the search warrant, Jerry Lynn Pauley, 54, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pauley was located in a bedroom on the southeast side of the residence. In a black, leather coat – belonging to Pauley – officers found a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine and a spoon with white residue on it. Pauley’s bond has not been set at this time. “
Crocker and Churchwell were not present at the time the warrant was executed, “however, officers received information that the couple were at a residence in Pike County. Murfreesboro Police Chief Randy Lamb and Nashville Police Officer Justin Garner traveled to 214 Sweet Home Rd. – the residence of Belinda Walton.” Walton advised officers that “Crocker and Churchwell had been at her residence, but that they had left around 6:30 a.m. Walton gave officers consdent to search the residence and the couple was located hiding in the attic,” Barnes said via press release.
Crocker and Churchwell were transported to the Howard County Jail while Walton was taken into custody by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and charged with hindering apprehension.
Officers involved in the warrant execution were: Nashville Police Officers Wayne Epperly, Aaron Quick, Justin Garner, Investigator Mark Barnes and Howard County Deputy Dustin Wakefield. Howard County SWAT Team Members: Casey Parker, Jade Hughes, Todd Tallant, Tim Bowlin, Blake Eudy and Travis Turner.
