Wilbert Payne, 69, of Nashville died Dec. 15, 2024.
He was born May 13, 1955, in Forrest City, Ark., to the late Van and Sara Payne.
He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist in Nashville.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leodis Payne and Leroy Payne.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Payne; children Sharonda Adams of Nashville, LaQuita Norris of Benton, Kendrick Payne of Little Rock, and Ray Whitmore of Nashville; siblings Janie Thompson of Chicago, Elijah Payne of Jacksonville, Fla., Leedward Payne of Chicago, Sara Payne of Forrest City, Mary Payne of Jacksonville, Fla., Napolian Payne of Iowa, Kim Payne, Genette Payne; also grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at First Christian Church in Nashville. Burial will be at Flint Hill Cemetery in Mineral Springs. Arrangements by Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
