Roland Jackson, 77, of Dierks, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 in Hot Springs, Ark. He was born on April 22, 1940 in Dierks, Ark., the son of the late Seidal Jerome and Dorothy Vera Coffey Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Saratoga, and the Nashville Bass Club. For many years he was a poultry service man for Big Dutchman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joan Fontaine Jackson.
Survivors include: three sons, Wade Jackson of Nashville, Ark., Brett Jackson and wife Monica of Dierks, Ark., Marcus Jackson of Longview, Texas; two grandchildren, Terri Jackson Ray and husband Phillip, and Troy Jackson; three brothers, Thearal Jackson of Gurnsey, Ark., Travis Jackson of Saratoga, Ark., Larry Jackson of Dierks, Ark.; two sisters, Dottie Dillard of Bodcaw, Ark., and Roma Jackson of Dierks, Ark., as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Robert Peek officiating, burial to follow in Saratoga Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
