ODEN – Oden claimed three victories last Tuesday over Oark with the Junior Timberwolves winning 36-15, the Lady Timberwolves winning 45-24 and the Timberwolves winning 67-32. The Junior Lady Timberwolves lost in a heart breaker, 28-27.
The Junior Lady Timberwolves jumped out to a 22-11 lead at the half, but struggled offensively in the second half to lose by one.
Allie Strother led the Junior Lady Timberwolves with 14, followed by Sidney Philpot with nine and Jacy Blansett with four.
The junior boys fared better after jumping out to an 18-7 first period lead. The shut Oark out in the third while adding 14 to their lead. They held on to win the game by 21.
Brandon Lewis led the Junior Timberwolves with 14, followed by Aaron Baker with 13. Zach Mayo scored four, Brian Kha scored three and Jesse Fryar scored two.
The Lady Timberwolves seemed to find their groove early in their match up against Oark, jumping out to a 23-11 first period lead. They increased their lead to 34-16 at the half. They outscored Oark 11-8 in the second half to win by 21.
Sara Black led the Oden with 20 points, followed by Hailee Elder with seven. Katie Golden and Shawna Van Horn each scored six. Shelbie Kennedy scored four and Eden Singleton scored two.
The Timberwolves closed out the night with a huge 35 point victory over Oark.
They dominated the first half, outscoring Oark 44-18. They added nine to their lead in the second half.
Matt Vincent had a stellar night, scoring 29 points. Matt Thomas and Jeff Lewis each scored eight and Aaron Carmack scored seven. Tyler Fair scored five and Will Monk scored three. Carlos Nelasco and Big Arch each scored three.
