Lady Timberwolves best Cutter Morning Star

ODEN – The Lady Timberwolves made the most of their home court advantage last Monday, defeating Cutter Morning Star 49-38. The junior girls and senior boys were not so lucky, losing 22-10 and 66-43 respectively.
The Lady Timberwolves jumped out to a 16-7 lead in the first period and held a 26-16 lead at the half. Cutter was able to cut their lead by two in the fourth, but Oden held on for the win.
Sara Black led the Lady Timberwolves with 13 points, followed by Shawna Van Horn with nine. Hailee Elder, Katie Golden and Eden Singleton each scored six. Shelbie Kennedy scored five and Kandy Simmons scored two.
Points were at a premium in the junior girls game with Cutter taking a 9-3 lead at the half. The went on to win by 12.
Allie Strother led the Junior Lady Timberwolves with five points, followed by Alli Hughes and Autumn Rice with two each. Sidney Philpot scored one.
The senior boys found themselves battling from behind early with Cutter Morning Star taking a 14-11 lead in the first period. They went on to win by 19.
Matt Vincent was the leading scorer with 15, followed by Jeff Lewis with 12. Tyler Fair scored eight and Aaron Carmack scored six. Will Monk scored two and Carlos nelasco scored one.
