NASHVILLE – A local
man made his first appearance
in circuit court after
being arrested for drug
charges.
Darrell Aikens, 56, of
Nashville, appeared in Howard
Circuit Court on Wed.,
Nov. 18 before Judge Tom
Cooper and was ordered to
return on Dec. 2. According
to a press release issued by
Nashville Narcotics Investigator
Mark Barnes, “On
Nov. 12, at approximately
1:30 p.m., members of the
Nashville Police Department
and the Howard
County Sheriff’s Department
executed a search and
arrest warrant at 920 Mine
St., in Nashville. This warrant
was a result of months
of undercover work by the
department. Items seized
from Aiken’s house include
approximately 1/4 pound
of suspected marijuana and
items of paraphernalia to
include scales for weighing
the suspected marijuana,
plastic bags and rolling
papers. Also located in the
residence was a police band
scanner and a Bryco .380
cal. pistol along with 40
rounds of ammo. Aiken’s
2000 model Chevrolet
pickup was also seized…

simultaneous possession
of drugs and firearms,
possession of a scheduled
VI controlled substance
with purpose to deliver and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bond was set at
$175,000 by Circuit Judge
Tom Cooper.” Aikens’ bond
was reduced to $50,000.
Other circuit court cases
heard on Nov. 18:
David Stelling, 41, of
Nashville, entered a guilty
plea to possession of a
scheduled VI controlled
substance with purpose to
deliver (reduced to a misdemeanor)
and was sentenced
to 30 days in the county jail,
ordered to pay court costs
and drug assessment.
Desarae Barnett, 35,
of Nashville, entered a not
guilty plea to possession
of a controlled substance
and possession of drug
paraphernalia. Barnett was
ordered to return on Jan. 6
for pretrial and on Jan. 20
and her bond is $25,000.
Randall Chriestenson,
32, of Texarkana, Ark.,
entered a not guilty plea to
possession of drug paraphernalia
and was ordered
to return on Jan. 6 for
pretrial and on Jan. 20 for
trial. His $25,000 bond was
reduced to $10,000.
Kevin Chriestenson, 29,
of Texarkana, Ark., entered
a not guilty plea to possession
of drug paraphernalia
and was ordered to return
on Jan. 6 for pretrial and on
Jan. 20 for trial. His bond is
$25,000.
Margo Johnston, 24, of
Hot Springs, entered a not
guilty plea to accomplice to
forgery 2nd degree, breaking
or entering and theft
of property. Johnston was
ordered to return on Dec. 9
for pretrial and on Dec. 15
for trial.
Erma York, 68, of Hot
Springs, entered a not guilty
plea to accomplice to forgery
2nd degree, breaking or
entering and theft of property.
York was ordered to
return on Dec. 9 for pretrial
and on Dec. 15 for trial.
Nora Wilson, 41, of Amity,
entered a not guilty plea
to theft of property and was
ordered to return on Feb. 2
for pretrial and on Feb. 16
for trial. Wilson’s bond is
$10,000.
Kendrick Payne, 25,
of Nashville, was ordered
to report back on Jan. 27
for the underline charge of
theft of property and felony
fleeing (originally filed on
July 1, 2009).
Joshua Miller, 39, of
Little Rock, was ordered to
report back on Jan. 20 with
an attorney for the underline
charge of possession of
a scheduled VI controlled
substance with purpose to
deliver (originally filed on
Jan. 28, 2014).
April Kinsey, 34, of Murfreesboro,
was ordered to
report back on Jan. 18 with
an attorney for the underline
charge of possession of drug
paraphernalia, tampering
with physical evidence, possession
of a scheduled III
controlled substance and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kinsey was also
ordered to return on Feb. 3
for pretrial and on Feb. 16
for trial.
Ashley Goodner, 28, of
Nashville, was ordered to
return on Jan. 13 for a probation
revocation hearing for
the underline charge of theft
of property and residential
burglary (originally filed on
Aug. 9, 2010).
