Mount Ida School fills five vacancies

mt ida stock photoSeveral positions were filled recently as the Mount Ida School District continues to get ready for the coming school year.
A special meeting was called June 29 for the purpose of filling a number of vacant positions in the district.
The board filled two positions at the high school and three at the elementary campus.
Ethan Crocker was hired as an assistant football and baseball coach. He will also teach science.
Jackson Guerra was hired as an assistant football and basketball coach. He will also teach physical education.
Michelle Johnson was hired as the new K-4 special education teacher.
Laejandra Lara was hired as an elementary teacher.
Cassady Crocker was hired as the new elementary councelor.
The board also voted to allow Superintendent Hal Landrith to hire a high school English teacher.
