The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office is accepting applications for a special youth deer hunt at Millwood Lake Nov. 7-8.
Eight permits will be issued to hunters ages 6-15. Applicants must submit a completed form by Oct. 8. Forms are available at the Millwood Tri-Lakes Project Office located at 1528 Highway 32 E, Ashdown, AR or by calling 870-898-3343. A random drawing and hunter notification will occur on Oct. 9.
Participants must have guardian consent and be accompanied by an unarmed adult over 21 years old the day of the hunt who has completed hunter’s education and has a valid Arkansas hunting license.
Youth hunters are limited to modern guns, must provide their own firearms and be proficient in their use. Access and hunting blinds will be provided.
This event promotes conservation, outdoor interest and ethical hunting while improving the local deer herd.
Dierks Lake
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dierks Lake Project Office is also accepting applications for a special youth deer hunt at Dierks Lake Oct. 24-25, 2026.
Six permits will be issued to hunters ages 6-15. Applicants must submit a completed form by Oct. 2. Applications are available at the Dierks Lake Project Office located at 246 Jefferson Ridge Road, Dierks, AR or by calling 870-286-2346. A random drawing and hunter notification will occur on Oct. 7.
Participants must have guardian consent and be accompanied by an unarmed adult over 21 years old the day of the hunt who has completed hunter’s education and has a valid Arkansas hunting license.
Youth hunters are limited to alternative firearms, must provide their own firearm and be proficient in its use.
