
Reginald “Reggie” Frances Gathright, age 70 of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Fort Riley, Kan., on Jan. 4, 1956, to Elizabeth Gathright and the late Pete Gathright.
Mr. Gathright was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville. He retired from CertainTeed Gypsum in 2015 after several years of employment.
Reggie was an avid fan of all things athletic. He loved to watch football, basketball, golf and all of other sports. He was a State Champion in Tennis his senior year at Nashville High School in 1974. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going on trips with his dad.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Stacey Gathright and his stepmother, Ann Gathright.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 30 years, Kay Gathright; his mother, Elizabeth Gathright; a sister, Stephanie Griggs; a step-sister, Rhonda Moses and her husband, Gerald; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the service begins on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. in the Latimer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wade Eggers, Larry Frohnappel and Jay Strasner officiating. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
