Claudia Boozer Westfall, age 91, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026.
Claudia grew up on a farm outside of Nashville, Ark., with a strict, loving father, a compassionate mother, and four lively brothers. She loved sharing stories of picking cotton in the fields and her role as the “recruited” test driver for a scrap-metal go-cart built by her older brothers, George and Gene — a ride that famously did not end well. Her younger brothers Thomas and Dwight had not yet arrived on the scene.
After graduating from Nashville High School in 1952, she moved to Tyler, Texas, where she attended business school and worked for “Mr. Brookshire” at the start of his grocery store expansion.
On July 25, 1953, she married T.J. Westfall. They first established their home in Texarkana, Ark., before moving to Tulsa, Okla., in the late 1950s.
Known for her extraordinary kindness, quick laugh, and total devotion to family, Claudia was easy-going and fun. She loved reading, baking chocolate chip cookies, and riding bikes along the Arkansas River with her friends Maggie and Charlie. She also treasured traveling the world in the pre-cellphone days. Growing up, her children could talk her into just about anything — including dining out, which occasionally required her son Jeff to save the day with a loan from his paper route savings when the monthly allowance ran short.
She is survived by her children, Greg Westfall and his wife Jen Ann, Jeff Westfall, and Kevin Westfall; grandchildren, Ryan Westfall, Julie Meyer, Jarrod Westfall, Kaitlyn Westfall, and Max Westfall; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ayden, Lane, Lola, Stella, Wyatt and Emma. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas Boozer and his wife Mary, as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bessie Boozer; her husband of 53 years, T.J. Westfall; and her brothers, George Boozer, Gene Boozer, and Dwight Boozer.
In her later years, Claudia was blessed with the unwavering support, visits, phone calls, letters, and texts of her dear family and friends. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Thomas and Mary Boozer, Lee Boozer, Teresa Boozer, Jason Boozer, Gary Boozer, Frances Martin, the late Dean Boozer, Suzette Russell, Anna Sue Westfall, Martha Westfall, and the staff at Legend at Tulsa Hills, along with Rivercross Hospice, all of whom ensured she was always surrounded by love.
A memorial service will be held at Nashville Funeral Home (1208 W Sunset St., Nashville, AR) on Wednesday, July 22. Visitation begins at 12 p.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m. Rev. Jaimie Alexander will officiate.
