This summer, children can enjoy free lunches through the Summer Feeding Program, sponsored by Harvest Regional Food Bank and open to all kids ages 1-18 years. No applications are necessary to drop in and all children and teens are welcome.
Approximately one in five children in Arkansas are food insecure, meaning they have limited or uncertain access to safe and nutritious food. Children who are hungry or food insecure are more likely to be in poor health and less likely to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Howard County Meals will be provided at the following sites:
• Glory Bee Ministries (Mineral Springs COC), 318 Bridgeman Drive, Mineral Springs, AR 71851
Grab-N-Go – Parents and Guardians may Pick up Meals for their children without children present. 3 days of meals can be picked up on Mondays and 4 days of meals on Thursdays per child.
Feeding Lunch – Mondays & Thursdays 11am – 1pm
Starting & Ending: May 28th – August 13th
Little River County Meals will be provided at the following sites:
• Community Freewill Baptist Church, 791 S Martin Luther King Dr., Ashdown, AR 71822
Grab-N-Go – Parents and Guardians may Pick up Meals for their children without children present. 3 days of meals can be picked up on Tuesdays and 4 days of meals on Fridays per child.
Feeding Lunch – Tuesdays & Fridays 12pm – 1pm
Starting & Ending: June 2nd – July 30th
Nevada County Meals will be provided at the site and times as follows:
• Prescott/Nevada County Library, 121 West Main St, Prescott, AR 71857
Grab-N-Go – Parents and Guardians may Pick up Meals for their children without children present. 3 days of meals can be picked up on Tuesdays and 4 days of meals on Fridays per child.
Feeding Lunch – Tuesday – Friday 11am – 2pm
Starting & Ending: May 20th – August 3rd
Pike County Meals will be provided at the site and times as follows:
• Blessed Beginnings (Murfreesboro FUMC), 403 2nd. Ave, Murfreesboro, AR 71958
Grab-N-Go – Parents and Guardians may Pick up Meals for their children without children present. 3 days of meals can be picked up on Mondays and 4 days of meals on Thursdays per child.
Feeding Lunch – Mondays & Thursdays 11am – 1pm
