Join a park interpreter to get acquainted with our resident snakes and learn about the many snakes of the area. Paint your very own wooden snake to take home!

Critter Feeding
3p.m. Visitor Information Center
Stop by the center to join a park interpreter in feeding our resident critters– snakes, frogs and more!

Nature’s Alarm Clock
1p.m. Visitor Information Center
The day before Daylight Saving Time begins, join a park interpreter as we draw the connection between our sense of place and how length of day and night impacts organisms. We’ll be making beautiful beaded suncatchers to display in your home for all seasons!

1-3p.m. Stop by Cossatot Falls
Are you ready to discover the wild side of Cossatot River State Park? Stop by the Falls to investigate the diverse wildlife of the area with a park interpreter! Come & go station.

Have you ever imagined the world from the perspective of a bug? Join a park interpreter as we slow down and observe the smaller elements in the landscape– you never know what you might find!

Owl Pellet Dissection

Join a park interpreter in the classroom as we investigate the life of an owl. Hands on and fascinating for all ages!

Moss & Lichen Walk
2p.m. Brushy Creek Trailhead
Explore the non-vascular life forms that surround us on the trail and debunk common misconceptions. ~0.75mi loop
Friday, March 28
Dutch Oven Cooking
2p.m. Visitor Information Center
Join the park interpreters for a tasty camp treat! We’ll be making Dutch Oven Biscuits and homemade butter as we discuss the history of Dutch ovens.
