Charles Randall Short, age 65, went home to be with the Lord peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025. Randall was born on March 31, 1959, in De Queen, Ark., to the late Emerson and Vada Lou Short.

Randall was raised in Eagletown, Okla., with his seven siblings of which he was always showing his playful spirit with. Back in the day you could find him at the races or hog hunting in the bottoms. He was a professional on the chainsaw and could cut down any tree. He spent much of his life in the log woods which his boys have proudly followed in his footsteps.

Randall so enjoyed his trips to the Hornet Hut, Red-E-Mart, and being a part of the town of Blevins. He loved his community deeply, and they loved him. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed anything. He had a fighting spirit that was strong and fearless. Randall was known for his infectious humor and was always bringing laughter to everyone around him. He was the light of every room and left an impact on everyone who knew him. We take comfort in looking forward to a reunion day in heaven where we will see him again.

Randall is survived by the love of his life and best friend of over 30 years, Amy. Children – Rod Short, Todd Short, Sissy Liggin, Jason Short, Braydon Rich, Misty Hanney, and Brandon Hanney.  Sixteen grandchildren – Kayden and Knox Short, Titus and Tatum Short, Lynli and Landri Liggin, Alissa Short, Hagen and Denim Rich, Morgan Burke, Dalton and Dillon Billings, Sydney and Clayton Hanney, Justice and Savannah Hall; and five great-grandchildren.  Siblings – Robert Short, Ray Short, Rodney Short, Ramona Compton, Ranell Short, Amber (Short) Provence, Eric Short, and several special nieces, nephews, and other loved family members.
