The Howard County Historical Society will host its annual free Hometown Holiday Sunday, Dec. 8.

The event will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the EA Williams Chapel Museum, 200 W. Hempstead, and the restored Old City Hall and Fire Station, 115 W. Sypert, Nashville.

Attendees will be see several new museum exhibits as well as holiday decorations and crafts for the kids.

Santa Claus will be on hand for photos and to visit with kids of all ages, and homemade Christmas goodies will be available.

The museum houses hundreds of items, photos and stories of the families of Howard County with many steps taken to preserve them for future generations.

A society member said many people see things at the museum and old city hall and fire station “that they have forgotten even existed.”

The Howard County Historical Society  invites the public to attend this free event designed to “celebrate the county’s people and heritage and offer a chance for fellowship among friends and neighbors.”
