There are two events here honoring military veterans for Veterans Day.
The first will be Friday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. in a classroom on the Nashville campus of UA-Cossatot. Featured will be a breakfast and speakers.
On the actual Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, there will be an event at the monument on the Howard County courthouse lawn beginning at 11 a.m.
Traditionally, veterans of all military branches line up in ranks for a brief program, and junior high scudents show their appreciation. The public is invited.
Murfreesboro will celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Murfreesboro Senior Center.
The celebration will start at 10 a.m.
