Johnny Michael Simmons, aged 70, passed peacefully from this life on Oct. 30, 2024, at his home with his family. He was born on . 31, 1953, in De Queen Ark., to Harless and
Vermease Simmons. He spent the rest of his life on the same stretch of land in Lockesburg where he called home.

A cup of coffee and an old western was all he needed to enjoy the day, and a Razorback football game never hurt.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anita Simmons; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Candace Simmons of Lockesburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Steven and Dana Stinson of Lockesburg;, a granddaughter, Ashlyn Simmons; a grandson, Johnathon Stinson, and a nephew who was more like a son, Steven Ford.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
