Nina Ruth Floyd, age 88 formerly of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024, in Ashdown surrounded by her family. She was born on Sept. 10, 1936, to the late Joe Daughtery and Emma Mae Sullivan.
Mrs. Floyd was a member of the Chapel Hill church of Christ where, in her younger years, she taught a Bible Class. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. She loved taking care of her husband, Herman Dale, and doing whatever he was doing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Herman Dale Floyd, as well as three brothers, John, Billy and Jack Daughtery.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Lillard and her husband Dean; her granddaughter, Kelsey Embry and her husband Luke; one great-granddaughter, Maeve Embry; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Oct. 19, 2024, in the Ozan Cemetery near Bingen with Don Embry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mrs. Floyd’s honor to the Childrens Homes, 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.
