The Nashville branch of Regions Bank will close Friday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m., according to a letter which the bank sent to customers Aug. 16. The Nashville branch will be combined with the Regions North State Line Branch in Texarkana, Ark.
Regions earlier closed its two drive-in banks in Nashville.
The last day for safe-deposit boxes at the Nashville branch will be Friday, Nov. 22.
“Following a thorough review of our branch network, we have decided to combine” the Nashville and North State Line branches, Lisa Phillips, consumer banking executive, said. “As part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible banking experience, we continually evaluate our services to focus our resources where customers use them most.”
Regions officials “understand that this may have an impact on the way you bank with us, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The decision to combine branches is something we don’t take lightly, and it is one we make only after carefully studying how customers are using in-person services, the number of branch visitors and other factors. Based on our review, we have found that customers are increasingly using alternative area branch locations and our digital banking options,” Phillips said.
Regions remains “dedicated to offering you a blend of personalized insights from local financial professionals through our modern banking network to convenient digital options,” according to Phillips.
Regions employees “will be available to you throughout the
transition of branch services from the Nashville Main Branch to the North State Line Branch,” Phillips said.
Regions is one of several banking companies which have utilized the Nashville facility. Some of the others include First National of Texarkana, First National Bank of Nashville and Planters Bank.
