James Larry Gilbert, 79, of Lockesburg died Saturday, May 25, 2024.
He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in the Mt. Carmel Community to the late Robert Windell Gilbert and Marie Louise Eudy Gilbert.
He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Dierks, and was a US Army veteran of Vietnam.
He proceeded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Richardson Gilbert, as well as three brothers, J.W., Levon and Dwayne Gilbert.
Survivors include: sons Scott Gilbert of Lockesburg and James Gilbert of De Queen; three brothers, Ronnie Gilbert, Richard Gilbert and Missy Shepherd; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Calvin Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Sunshine Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
