Esther L. Amonette, 85, of Nashville died May 10, 2024.
She was born May 20, 1938, in Ozan to the late Willie A. Arnold and Thelma Mae Jewell.
She was a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Edwin Amonette; six siblings, Ray Arnold, Leo J. Arnold, Verna Mae Bratton, D.F. Arnold, Mary Lancaster and Patsy Ann Gray.
Survivors include: her four children, Mark Edwin (Lillie) Amonette, Dr. J. Fulton (Glynda) Amonette, Stephen Carlton Amonette and Marguerite Michelle (Ronnie) Robinson; a brother, Cecil Arnold; a sister, Peggy Robinson; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the Latimer Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Sherman officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville. Online at latimerfuneralhome.com.
