Shirley Faye Cowart Price, 80, from Nashville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024. Shirley was born in Nashville, Nov. 5, 1943, the daughter of the late Coy and Mary Lois Cowart.
She enjoyed gospel music, traveling, and shopping. She loved spending time with her cousins Leta Crisp and Sandra Hallmark; sitting on the porch with a glass of iced tea. She never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Johnny R. Price; one brother, Doyle Cowart; and one daughter, Brenda Sue Bohannon.
Shirley is survived by: her brother Floyd Wayne Cowart (Cindy) of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Cindi Melson Brown (Charlie) of Belton, Texas; son Charles Wayne Bohannon of Prescott, Ark.; and daughter Pam Bohannon McElyea of Nashville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Rodney Brown of Corpus Christi, Texas, Jeff Brown of Belton, Texas, Chris Gilbert of Port Lavaca, Texas, Kerri Gilbert of Texarkana, Ark., Hannah Pate of Magnolia, Ark., Braden Conatser, Charlie Rae Brewer, Jade McElyea, and Dakota McElyea, all of Nashville, Ark.; as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 7, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Don Jones officiating; burial will follow in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Pallbearers will be Jade McElyea, Dakota McElyea, Derek Brewer, Tim Young, Scott Lovelis, and Braiden McDonald.
