Johnnie Faye Watson, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Ark., passed away, Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at her home in Murfreesboro. She was born Jan. 11, 1936, in Greenville, Texas, the daughter of the late Leslie W. Greer and Pauline Carter Greer.
Mrs. Watson was a long time member of the Saline Church of Christ. She was a dedicated, life long homemaker, mother, and devout Christian. She enjoyed watching basketball and taking trip to Branson with the girls.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband Olen Watson, one sister Glenna Schram, one brother Lloyd Greer, one granddaughter Shelly Hoover, and a great-granddaughter, Abby Patterson.
Survivors include: her three children, Larry Watson and wife Eva of Murfreesboro, Patti Watson Graves and husband Gary of Murfreesboro, David Watson of Tokio; one sister Patsy Self and husband Keith of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Kelley Campbell (Eric), Mandy Stone (Kirk), Justin Watson (Jenny), John David Watson (Allie) and Haley Graves; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 19, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, at Pleasant Home Church of Christ, with Roger Cox officiating, burial will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
