Alvin G. Brown, 76, died Jan. 9, 2024. He was born March 13, 1947, the son of the late Zebedee Brown, Sr., and Willie Murrel Lee Brown. He was a member of the First Church of God in Tollette, and was a client at the Howard County Children’s Center where he also did production work.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude E. Carter, and Willie Hinton. and two brothers, Zebadee Brown, Jr., and Glenn Brown.
Survivors include: his siblings Eddie Brown of Mineral Springs, Irene Lollis of Brentwood, Calif., Hazel McCoy of Mineral Springs, Patrica Brown of Mineral Springs, Glenda (James) Reed of Mineral Springs, Ressie Scoggins of Lawton, Okla., and Wanda Akins of St. Louis, Mo.
Services were Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at the Tollette Church of God. Burial followed in Crofton Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
