Charles Edwin “Buddy” Young, age 78 of Ashdown, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, in Ashdown. He was born on March 31, 1945, in Nashville to the late Joseph Young and Marjorie Johnson Young.
Buddy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ashdown. He enjoyed riding and showing his horses, riding motorcycles, camping and traveling. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, his friends and many animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gleoria Wilson.
Survivors include: his two sons, Danny Young and wife Misty, and Dale Young and wife, Hillary; one sister, Terry Young; five grandchildren, Chloe, Gracie, Dani Jo, Harrison and Cullen Young; a niece, Dana Brooks; a great-nephew, Connor Brooks and wife, Addison; special friend and love, Sandy Talent, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ashdown.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ashdown. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery near Nashville, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
