James Dale Peters, 96, formerly of Nashville died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023, in Naples, Fla. He was born in the community of Belton, Ark., Feb. 12, 1927, the son of the late James Alfred Peters and Zettie Orlena Dotson Peters.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Chicago Transit Authority.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sue Reese Peters, and a brother, Calvin Peters.
Survivors include: his three children, Patricia Ann Parenti of Naples, Fla., James L. Peters of Marco Island, Fla., and Linda S. Peters of Roanoke, Va.; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, in the Old Corinth Cemetery north of Nashville under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
