Mrs. Wilma Wanda June (Tabor) Manire, age 83, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Monday, July 3, 2023, at her home.
She was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Waldron, Ark. Mrs. Manire was a bookkeeper, former owner of a glass shop and a Baptist. She enjoyed designing and building stained glass, sewing hats, cooking, reading and loved animals. She also enjoyed politics and was a proud Democrat.
Mrs. Manire was preceded in death by her parents, Audie Allen and Ermer Lea (McCullah) Tabor; her husband, Edward Manire; three sisters, Geneva Scantling, Dorothy Scantling and Frances Stapleton and one brother, Donald Tabor.
She is survived by: one sister, Reba Sharp of Dierks; five nephews and their spouses, Lance and Renita Sharp of Dierks, Donnie and Crystal Tabor of Hot Springs, Ark., Allen Tabor of Jessieville, Ark., Darrell and Crystal Tabor of Missouri and Josh Stapleton of Texas; three nieces, Tracy Scantling of Caddo Gap, Ark., Amber Hohenstein and husband, David of Dierks, and Sarah James of Flippin, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Sharon Tabor of Jessieville; one brother-in-law, Herbert Scantling of Caddo Gap, many other family members and a host of friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Barber Cemetery in Sims, Ark., at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
