Kevin Scott Helms, age 51, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born Nov. 8, 1971, in De Queen, Ark. He was a member of the Dierks Church of Christ, loved his family, coaching basketball, hanging out with his brothers, fishing and working on the farm with his dad.
He is survived by his parents, Billy Jack and Vera Helms of Ashdown, Ark., Jim and Peggy Moore of Texarkana, Texas; his wife, Kelly Helms; one daughter, Kyra Helms; two sons, Kaden Helms, Klay Helms; one special nephew, Issak Helms all of Dierks, Ark.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith Helms of Horatio, Ark., Kenny and Becky Helms of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Tyler Cleghorn of Conway, Ark., Melissa and Lynn Baucum of Ashdown, Ark.; one step-brother, Eric Moore of Shreveport, La., one step-sister, Carrie Dee Moore of Texarkana, Texas, and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Kevin Helms will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at the Dierks Church of Christ with Bro. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Dierks Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the Dierks Church of Christ.
