Nancy Sue Roberts, age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away July 18, 2023, in Plano, Texas. She was born April 19, 1950 in Nashville, Ark., to the late James Glenn Roberts and Mable Augusta Hosey Roberts.
She was a fiercely devoted and loving mother to her son, Kenny. Sue loved sports and played basketball in high school and was on many softball and bowling teams as an adult. She rooted for her Razorbacks every chance she got, loved seeing her Astros win the World Series and could always be found in front of the TV every Sunday supporting JJ Watt and her Houston Texans! She had many hobbies including crocheting, home improvement, traveling, reading, stopping at every garage sale and Flea Market she could find, listening to King George, going to concerts with her son and watching her favorite tv shows, especially Detective Olivia Benson on SVU. Preceding her in death are four sisters, Margaret McCullough, Jo Reese, Ann Knight and Glenda Roberts, and two brothers, James Roberts and Bobby Roberts.
Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Dean Beggs, Jr. of Plano, Texas, her beloved dog Layla, five nephews, four nieces, several great-great nieces and nephews and many, many other friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Fairview Youth Theatre, 302 Town Place, Fairview, TX 75069.
