Roy Thomas ‘Tommy’ Elder, Jr., died Nov. 25, 2022.
He was born May 2, 1942, in Nashville. He was a 1961 graduate of Nashville High School and of Ouachita Baptist University. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as an electronics technican aboard nuclear submarines
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Anne Nowlin Elder; his biological father, Roy Thomas Elder Sr. (3 months prior to his birth), his stepfather, Edward Ramage, his mother Lourie Ramage, his half-brother, Phillip Ramage.
Survivors include his son, Steve Elder, grandchildren, and a sister, Deb Welch.
There was a celebration of life service Dec. 3 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant, Ark., followed by private burial.
