Daniel “Danny” Clay Godfrey, 68, of Nashville, Ark., passed away, Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, in Nashville. Danny was born Aug. 4, 1954, in Conroe, Texas, to the late Clay and Margaret Ann See Godfrey. Danny was a retired cattle rancher and horse-shoer. He was a member of the Cross Point Cowboy Church. Danny loved the cowboy lifestyle, raising his horses and working cattle. He loved sitting around and telling stories like cowboys do.

Preceding Danny in death were his parents, a daughter, Danielle Fatherree and a granddaughter, Jordan Craig.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Godfrey of Nashville; surviving spouse of his father, Deronda Godfrey of Nashville; his daughter, Michelle, and husband Bill Launius of Nashville; his son, Clay Godfrey and wife Chrissy of Plantersville, Texas; two sisters, Mary Calloway and husband Billy Duncan of Cabot, and Debbie Ritchie of Missouri; grandchildren, Dalton Fatherree and fiancé Shyla Schwortz, Cassidy Godfrey and fiancée Austin Gray, Casey and wife Hannah Godfrey, Hanna Fatherree and fiancé Brayden Mauldin, Genevieve Godfrey, Laila Godfrey, Nollie Launius, and Henry Launius; three great-grandchildren, and a large host of other family and friends.

Services will be Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Cross Point Cowboy Church with Don Jones and Mike Launius officiating. A private interment will follow.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 USA / donors@stjude.org. Danny dearly loved children.
