Leslie W. Killian, 98, of Dierks, died Thursday, Jan., 12, 2017, in Dierks.
He was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Howard County, the son of the late Kias and Carrie Bell Martin Killian. He was a poultry and cattle farmer, a deacon and member of Bethany Baptist Church and a World War II Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelmaree Harberson Killian.
Survivors include: a son, Howard Killian and wife, Melba, of Texarkana, Ark.; a sister, Bonnie Burt of De Queen; three brothers, Arvil Shepherd of Prattville, Ala., Farrel Shepherd of Dierks and Bobby Shepherd of De Queen; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Sunshine Cemetery with Rev. J.W. Gilbert officiating. Arrangements were by Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
