Lovena Roberta Gilbert, 86, of Dierks, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016.
She was born April 13, 1930, in Newhope, Ark., the daughter of the late Robert and Dessie Greenhaw Young. Â She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix F. ‘Fec’ Gilbert, Jr.; a son, Felix W. Gilbert, Sr.; and a brother, Sherman Young.Â
Survivors include: a son, Marvin Gilbert and wife, Cathy, of Dierks; two daughters, Loretta Hill and husband, Truman, of Newhope, and Cindy Harding and husband, Tim, of Nashville; a brother, David E. Young and wife, Patsy, of Dierks; two sisters, Wanda Crago of Huntington, Ind., and Dorothy Hausman and husband, Dennis, of Nashville; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Â
Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Calvin Parker and J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation was 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
