Glenda Faye Kesterson Chandler, age 67, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 ,in Nashville, Ark., after a courageous battle with ALS.
She was born April 26, 1949, in De Queen, Ark. She was a retired cafeteria worker at JoAnn Walters Elementary School in Dierks for 37 years and was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.
Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Hester Mounts Kesterson, and one brother, James Kesterson.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Donald Chandler; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Colbey of Dierks; three grandchildren, Cody and Kera Colbey, Colten Colbey and Cylie Colbey; one brother, Glenville Kesterson of Lockesburg, Ark., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chandler were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Westside Church of Christ with Robert Peek and Jerry Mounts officiating. Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family received friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26 at the funeral home in Dierks.Â
