Mr. Anthony “Tony” DeWayne Jackson, 56, of Mt. Ida, Ark., formerly of Dierks died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1959, in De Queen, Ark., the son of the late Wilbur Duane and Lucy Fern Alexander Jackson. He was a coordinator for the Southwest District Drug Task Force, a former officer for the Dierks Police Department and former deputy for the Howard County Sheriff’s Department.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Giles.
Survivors include: his wife, Susan House Jackson; a son, Brandon Jackson and wife, Heidee, of Mt. Ida; a daughter, Sally Jo Elizabeth Jackson of Newport, Ark.; a step-daughter, Crystal Leyva of Nashville; a step-son, Mathew Myrick of Nashville; his sister, Beverly Stevens of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; also grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in Joplin Cemetery in Joplin, Ark., with Roy Brooks officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
