Officers investigate stabbing in Black Springs

According to a statement released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office officers are investigating an incident where a Black Springs woman was allegedly stabbed multiple times.

The report states that on September 6, 2016, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in Black Springs regarding a female subject that had multiple stab wounds and laceration to the throat.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim that had been attacked. She was able to give officers a name of a suspect. She was transported to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. Investigation is still on going at this time by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, and the 18th West Judicial Drug Task Force.

The statement claims several articles of evidence have been collected and officers are piecing the investigation together at this time. Sheriff White expects charges to be filed shortly.
