Virginia Howard, 71 of Delight, Ark., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at her home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1945 in Little Rock, Ark., the daughter of the late Joseph Edwin and Jimmie May Starling Lingo.
Mrs. Howard was a member of the Delight Church of Christ. She loved her grandchildren, family, church family, and doing for others. She enjoyed cooking for her family and many others.
Survivors include: her husband of 52 years, Doyle Howard of Delight, Ark.; two sons, Eddie Howard and wife Anna and their son Kane O’Neal of Murfreesboro, Ark., Scott Howard and wife Kristy and their children Andrew and Abigail Howard of Delight, Ark.; two daughters, Donna McBride and children Ethan and Elizabeth of Delight, Ark., Karen Lockwood and husband Jason and children Annabelle and Jake Lockwood of Delight, Ark.; two sisters, Janice Hill and husband Robert of Prescott, Ark., and Peggy Lawrence and husband Dave of Valiant, Okla.; a sister-in-law Helen Stell of Delight, Ark., as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation was 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services were 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Delight Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander, Brent Alexander, and Randy Hughes officiating. Burial followed in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
