Wanda Staten, 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Monday May 16, 2016 in Murfreesboro.  She was born on May 5, 1935 in Murfreesboro, the daughter of the late Troy Jackson and Ledell (Bell) Jackson. Wanda was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Staten; one brother, Sonny Jackson; niece, Tammy Sue Lemons; and daughter-in-law, Christie Staten. She is survived by two sons, Donny Ray Staten and wife, Dianna of Murfreesboro, and Mike Floyd Staten of Murfreesboro; one daughter, Sandra Sue “Sandy”  (Staten) Fallin and husband, Wayne of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Bobby Jackson of Decatur, IN and Billy Jackson of Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Kay Jackson of Fort Worth, TX; 7 grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Nicole Land, Michael Staten, Dustin Staten, Taylor Staten, Christie Price, and Stefanie Johnston;  13 great grandchildren; and a very special close friend, Loretta Parker.  A host of other relatives and friends mourn her passing. Services will be on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Brother Johnny Baker officiating.  Burial to follow in Murfreesboro cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Latimer Chapel. You may send an online sympathy message to www.latimerfuneralhome.com.
