DE QUEEN – Arkansas State Police are investigating the death of a Sevier County inmate.
Thirty-seven-year-old Randi Wolfe died Feb. 13, two days after becoming unresponsive while at the Sevier County Jail.
Little River County Sheriff Gary Gregory said Wolfe had been arrested Feb. 9 near Foreman on a charge of residential burglary. She allegedly stole medication pills from a home.
Wolf was housed in the Sevier County jail because the Little River County jail doesn’t incarcerate females.
Sevier County Investigator Robert Gentry said Wolfe was transported to a local hospital. Her condition became worse after she was airlifted to a medical center in Little Rock.
State police sent the body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
