The Murfreesboro Rattlers traveled to Lafayette County on Tuesday night to take on the Cougars in a District match-up.
The junior ladies would bring home a victory with the score of 30-18. Led by leading scorer and rebounder Erin Davis, with 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
Next up, the Lady Rattlers would come up short to the Lady Cougars. The Lady Rattlers held the lead 22-20 at the half. The Cougars battled back to take the lead 38-33 heading into the fourth quarter. The Lady Rattlers were not able to answer back, with a final score of 59-44.
Jynsen Smith was the leading scorer for the Lady Rattlers with 16 points and seven rebounds. Loren Gills had 7 points with five rebounds. Loran Wilcher was the leading rebounder with 11, adding 4 points and two steals. Jayce Saldana scored 4 points with six rebounds and one steal.
To end the night, the Rattlers would fall to the defeat of the Cougars. At the end of the first half the Rattlers would keep it close with a score of 32-26, but the Cougars would continue to pull away for a final score of 69-44.
Mason Alexander was the leading scorer for the Rattlers with 17 points. Tyler Gilbert led the team in rebounds with five, and also adding 12 points. Zach Eckert, Jamonte Green, and Jarrett Faulkner would all add 5 points each.
