Nashville Rural Water project is near completion

NASHVILLE – The System Improvement project that the Nashville Rural Water
Public Authority has ongoing is nearing completion, according to a report given
at the Board of Directors meeting on Jan. 28. System Director Ryan Stuckey gave a report to the Board, and stated that the new system should be in service by March 1, as long as all tests come back clear showing the water is safe for public consumption. Board President Mark Dowdy read a resignation letter from Board Secretary/Treasurer Alvin Vaughn. Dowdy stated to the board that a replacement would have to be selected. No action was taken on the selection of a new Secretary/Treasurer during the meeting. Dowdy gave the financial reports for November and December. In November, sales of $120,803.38 were made, but operating expenses were $121,504.84, leaving a net loss of $ on the month. December’s financials showed sales of $78,489.59, and operating expenses of $107,064.99, leaving a net loss of $28,575.40. Dowdy went on to state to the board that a profit had been made 9 out of 12 months in 2015, but water sales were down in December.
Present at the meeting were Mark Dowdy, Steve Myers, Sam Ragar, Randy Hughes, Eddie Dyer, Danny Raulerson Jeremy Allmon, and Ryan Stuckey. Velma Williamson and Alvin Vaughn were absent.
