Forty-six-year-old Bryon Scott Whisenhunt had a charge of possession of a firearm by certain persons filed against him Jan. 11 by the state in the Pike County Circuit Clerk’s office.
Whisenhunt, who was convicted of one felony count of third degree domestic battery in August of 2006, allegedly pawned a gun on December 3 at the Right On Pawn and Gun located in Glenwood.
According to the affidavit of arrest, Whisenhunt pawned a Savage 308 caliber rifle for $50 on Dec. 3. On Jan. 5 he returned to the shop and paid the pawn that was owed for the rifle. Whisenhunt filled out the paperwork for a background check.
The background check was conducted and Whisenhunt was denied by the ATF and could not pick up the rifle. Bond was set at $25,000 on Jan. 8 by Judge K. Leanne Daniel.
