Mrs. Carol Ellis Davis, age 81, a resident of De Queen, died Sunday, November 1, 2015 in, De Queen, Arkansas. She was born to Robert and Newell Ward Ellis in Clinton, Arkansas on August 1, 1934. Mrs Davis was an active member of the First Baptist church of De Queen for over 53 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bobby Ellis and Bill Ellis and a sister, Oleta Holyfield. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of over 63 years Gene G. Davis, a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Karen Davis of De Queen; three daughters, Patti Atkins of De Queen, Robin Joseph and Kelly Davis, both of Conway; a sister-in-law, Judy Ellis of Little Rock,; seven granchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a number nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in the First Baptist Church of De Queen. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery.
