A Nashville man has been charged in Pike County Circuit Court with felony defrauding a secured creditor.
Stanley Ray Rucker, 42, formerly of Royal, was charged on Nov. 19 after an Arkansas State Police investigation that began in March, 2014.
The charge alleges that Rucker borrowed “a large sum of money” from First State Bank of Pike County for the purchase of numerous items which included a boat and camper trailer. A bank official reportedly had been notified Rucker had sold “all the security and made no payment to the bank.”
Rucker allegedly admitted to selling the items and the bank official’s numerous attempts to recoup the money had failed, according to case documents.
Rucker reportedly turned himself in to Pike County authorities Friday. He has since been released on $15,000 bond.
