Ozella Speakman (Brown) Moore, 79, of Alabaster, Alabama, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 30, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born on July 16, 1936 to the late Early Thomas and Elzie Dover Speakman, Ozella loved family (especially the babies), working in her yard, cooking, the casinos and caring for the sick. Whenever someone needed a caregiver, she was always there giving 110% of her love and time. She loved annual vacations with her sisters and other family members. They are a strong testament of what family is supposed to be, never failing to show their love for one another. She loved going to church and attending gospel singings but her great passion was her unfaltering faith and love of Jesus Christ. Besides her parents, Ozella is preceded in death by two husbands: Charles E. Brown of Mineral Springs, Arkansas and Harold Moore of Alabaster, Alabama, ten brothers and sisters, four children and five grandchildren. Survivors include two sisters: Colene Smith of Shannon, Alabama and Clara Ann Minor of Toney, Alabama; six sons, Boyd Brown and wife Petra of Loxahatchee, Florida, Otis Brown and significant other of Nashville, Ross Brown and wife Cathy of Brighton, Tennessee, Ronald Brown of Jacks Creek, Tennessee, Jeff Moore and wife Terri, Joey Moore and wife Grace, all of Montevalo, Alabama; six daughters, Joann Dease and husband Wendell of Auburndale, Florida, Georgia Bass and husband Johnny of Camden, Barbara Green and husband Floyd of Nashville, Arkansas, Juda Brown of Jacks Creek, Tennessee, Judy Bell and husband Bill of Pasadena, Texas, and Shirley Ethridge of Liberty, Texas; 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and other family and friends. Services were held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Chapel in Alabama on November 3, 2015.
