Citizens of Pike and Howard counties can get flu shots next week during mass flu clinics set for Nashville and Murfreesboro.

The Howard County mass flu clinic will be on Thursday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Howard County Health Unit, 201 E. Hempstead, Nashville .

The annual Pike County Mass Flu Clinic will be held Tuesday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Pike County Health Unit, 1001 Caddo Drive, Murfreesboro.

There will be walk-in clinics with curb service for handicapped individuals or those needing assistance. Participants should pick up forms at the health unit and complete them prior to coming for faster service. Participants should also bring insurance or medicaid/medicare cards.

For those who have insurance, the health department will ask the insurance company to pay for the cost of giving the vaccine. There will be no charge on this day for persons without health insurance.
