Inclement weather has already caused a shake-up in this week’s high school football action.

The Mineral Springs Hornets opted to get their game in at Foreman Thursday night and picked up their first win of the season in an overtime battle. The Hornets prevailed in the game, 36-28.

Other Friday night games will go off as planned and will include the 7-0 Nashville Scrappers hosting the Mena Bearcats for Homecoming at Scrapper Stadium. The NHS Homecoming ceremonies are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Scrapper Arena and 6:30 at Scrapper Stadium. The Bearcats are 2-5 overall and 1-3 in district.

The Rattlers will travel to Spring Hill to face the Bears, who are 4-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Rattlers, coming off a 58-28 win over the MS Hornets, are 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in conference.

The Dierks Outlaws will welcome the undefeated Mount Ida Lions Friday to “The Holler.” The Outlaws are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
