“May the 4-H be With You” was the theme for the annual Montgomery County 4-H Awards Banquet.  Over 60 4-Hers, parents, and guests were in attendance  at this year’s event, held at Lake Oauchita Baptist Church.
Following a wonderful meal award winners were recognized.  Record book winners numbering 16 kids received t-shirts.  Medals were awarded to 4-Hers for participation as follows:  11 gold medal winners, 8 silver medal winners, and 9 bronze.  This year’s “Friend of 4-H Award” was given to the Trail Dogs for their assistance with 4-H events throughout the year.  Each club leader had awards to give to their individual club members and received recognition awards for their service as well.
The Ola Mae Walton “Spirit of 4-H Awards” went to Mikayla Ellison and Jakob Myers for exemplifying qualities espoused by the 4-H organization.  The Junior 4-Her of the year was Rebeka Lewis, and the Senior 4-Her of the year was Caleb Badger.  This year we had two members qualify for The Teen “4-H Wall of Fame” Award; they were Bailey Nash and Breanna Lewis.
A video highlighting the year’s programs, camps, and competitions capped off a wonderful evening and May The 4-H Be With You.
