Elden Eugene “Smokey” Hayden, 58, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born on November 27, 1956 in Howard County, Arkansas, the son of the late Eugene Franklin Hayden and Rachel Earline (Lockeby) Hayden. Smokey was a longtime employee for the city of Murfreesboro and of the Methodist faith. He volunteered his time for anyone in need and was an avid Rattler football fan.
Smokey is survived by numerous friends. Memorial services will be on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Murfreesboro Cemetery with Brother James Wainscott officiating. You may send an online sympathy message to www.latimerfuneralhome.com.
