Lana Schwope Cook Young departed this life on Monday, September 21, 2015. She was born in Hondo, Texas on May 30, 1947 to the late Richard C. and Pauline B. (Schmidt) Schwope. Lana loved gardening, working in her yard, doing things to her house, and going to garage sales. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Family was very important to her. She was retired from the city of Nashville as clerk/treasurer. She is survived by her children, Vincent E. and wife, Vicki Cook of Nashville, and Lori D. McCain of Nashville; her grandchildren, Savanah R. McCain (Punkie Doodle), Alayna N. Cook (Tinker Toodle), Andrew J. McCain (Drewster Pooster) and Caleb V. Cook (Mr. Caleb); four brothers and two sisters, Raymond G. Schwope (Nancy), Richard D. Schwope, Robert D. Schwope (Florence), Ronald R. Schwope (Dawanda), Crystal L. Schwope, and Diana E. Reeves (James S.), all of Nashville; numerous gorgeous nieces, and handsome nephews as well as a host of cousins.
Graveside services will be Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Corinth Cemetery north of Nashville.
