GLENWOOD — Bainum Library & Learning Center will be starting a “1000 Books before Kindergarten” program with the kick-off day on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
The group will meet every Saturday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. as long as there is an interest.
This new program is a fun, exciting and free way to start a child on the path to success. Any child from birth to 5 years can participate, parents can track the reading, and will also feature a “Reading Theater” with a group of older kids to help with reading, acting out a story or just listen.
Any one who would like to read out loud to others will be very welcome to participate.
“Please join in this fun project beginning September 12,” said Librarian Marge Melichar.
